My Flower Journey
My name is Glenn Hebert. My flower shop is in the historic town of St. Martinville, Louisiana, where I've worked for many years for the well-know florist, Mr. Bob Foti. Although Bob was paralyzed in a van accident in early 2000s while delivering flowers, he still went to work. He couldn't walk, and he had minimal use of his hands. However, he was determined to keep his shop open. In November 2016, Mr. Bob passed away and his shop closed. I was saddened by the passing of my friend but inspired by his fight. I set out on a dream to open my own flower shop. When things got rough, Bob would always tell me "Glenn, make it work". Those words constantly repeated in my mind everyday until 2018, when I purchased the old Veterans' Home on Main Street. Many people thought I was crazy because the building was in major disrepair, but with lots of hard work, and Bob's oh-so-memorable phrase in my head, I made my dream a reality. In December of 2019 I opened my new flower shop, Glenn's Flower Box at 315 1/2 North Main St. in St. Martinville. Here you will find the same beautiful designs and excellent customer service that Bob provided, but with a personalized touch.
